The Soundwaves Vinyl Of The Week (V.O.T.W.) is In Green / We Dream, the debut album from the R&B funk supergroup Parlor Greens.

 

This trio features Jimmy James (The True Loves) on guitar, Adam Scone (Scone Cash Players) on organ and Tim Carmen (Canyon Lights) on drums. This is a band everyone needs to see live…and this album is dope as hell! 

 

Check out their set if you’re going to the 2025 Newport Jazz Fest this year. Can’t wait for them to come back to New England and play more dates. Their album is available on Colemine Records—one of the best independent record labels in the U.S., in our opinion.
