Gregory Alan Isakov and his band (comprised of friends from Colorado where they all live) took the stage at the Eventim Apollo in London for the final night of his fall European tour.

I became aquatinted with Isakov’s music through his song, "O’ City Lights" from the album The Weatherman, which sadly he didn’t play on this tour. His voice is distinct and hauntingly mesmerizing, and that goes for every song he sings. And when it comes to storytelling through his music, it's some of the best that I have experienced throughout the contemporary folk genre.

The lighting during the performance was muted blue, creating a mood that blended beautifully with his music. When he played “Master & A Hound” without the band, one single light illuminated him creating a fan-like appearance that fluttered as billowing smoke from the smoke machine bent the light.

Highlights from this performance included the tracks:

"San Luis"

"Amsterdam"

"The Fall"

"Big Black Car"

"The Stable Song"
