When was Soundwaves founded?
Soundwaves launched on November 11, 2022 by four friends who wanted to create a hybrid model that featured aspects of a radio station and a music magazine. Soundwaves is currently managed by Jason Landry and Ben Dalianis, two of the original founders.
Is Soundwaves a radio station?
Soundwaves does produce streaming on-demand radio shows, but we do not consider it solely a radio station.
What are some of the streaming radio shows that are found on Soundwaves?
Soundwaves has a number of streaming radio shows including Ben Jammin’—a jam band show, Art+Noise—an alternative rock show, Swifty Minutes—a Taylor Swift themed radio show, Spin This!—an alt rock and shoegaze radio show, The Playground with DJ Skoolyahd—a hip-hop and rap dj set, and other great shows.

The Guest Playlist Series on Soundwaves was created to bring musicians closer to their fans by personally providing a setlist of music that inspired their careers.
Do you ever feature local or non mainstream artists and bands on Soundwaves?
Yes, we have a section on Soundwaves called Local Waves where we feature local and non-mainstream artists and bands. We want to be able to help indie and local bands as much as possible.
Is Soundwaves looking for contributors?
