We’re excited to have Scott Hackwith from the band Dig join us on the Guest Playlist Series right here on Soundwaves. Check out these tracks that he’s curated for you that has inspired his career.

Formed in 1991 in Los Angeles, California, alt rock band Dig quickly captured attention with their heavy, multi-guitar wall of sound that blended driving indie energy with rich shoegaze and grunge textures. Led by vocalist and guitarist Scott Hackwith, the band rose to prominence during the height of the 1990s alternative boom.

Following a lengthy hiatus and a few intermittent reunions over the years, Dig officially made a major comeback. In 2025 they released their long-awaited fourth studio album, titled (i). Propelled by comeback singles like "Nothing Is Forever" the new material proves that Hackwith and company have retained their signature driving rock grit while entering an exciting new chapter. Additionally, vinyl enthusiasts saw the band's classic 1993 debut officially reissued for the first time, bringing their classic sound back to turntables everywhere.
