One of my favorite sounds of 2025 is Teethe's sophomore album Magic of the Sale. This album transforms their lo-fi slowcore roots into something vast and communal.

Recorded across Dallas and Austin, the 14-track, 45-minute record hums with contributions from indie heavyweights like Xandy Chelmis (pedal steel) and Emily Elkin (cello), adding lush depth to Boone Patrello, Grahm Robinson, Madeline Dowd, and Jordan Garrett's dreamy sound. Dowd's airy vocals glide over lyrics of loss and resilience, set against hazy jangly guitars and atmospheric orchestral swells.

Standouts like the punchy "Holy Water" and soaring "Magic of the Sale" balance grit and grandeur, while the dirge "Funny" defines their dreamy Texas sized slowcore sound. Polished yet raw, it's a slowcore triumph that captures life's ache and endurance. Late night listens are recommended.
